The integration courses are funded by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
They serve the integration and cultural introduction to life in Germany.
Each integration course consists of a language course (different types of courses listed below) and an orientation course.
Depending on the language level, the participants are classified and assigned to courses.
The goal is for all integration students to attain the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Except the participants in the integration courses with literacy. There is the goal to reach A2.
**General integration course **
The language course "general integration course" has a duration of 600 lessons.
Starting from level A1 via A2, the finish B1 should be reached at the end of the course.
The language course concludes with the examination "Deutschtest für Zuwanderer" (DTT).
If the "Deutschtest für Zuwanderer" (DTT) is not successfully completed with the B1 level, the participant is entitled to 300 repeat hours. Afterwards the second DTZ exam takes place.
